Education

Have you completed a minimum 2 years of full-time post-secondary education from a designated learning institution in Alberta resulting in a credential (e.g. bachelor’s degree or diploma)? Distance learning programs, compressed, or accelerated academic programs are not eligible.

Language Proficiency

Do you have a minimum Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) level of 7 for each English language skill or Niveaux de compétence linguistique canadiens (NCLC) level of 7 for each French language skill: writing, reading, speaking and listening?

Alberta Advantage Immigration Program only accepts the following language tests:

Step 1

Log in to submit your Expression of Interest (EOI) through the Alberta Advantage Immigration Program online portal. To submit an EOI online, you must have a Alberta.ca Account. All communications from the AAIP will be completed using the the same email address that you use for your Alberta.ca Account.

If you do not have an Alberta.ca Account, create a basic account.

If you have an existing Alberta.ca Account, you can use your existing basic or verified Alberta.ca account.

Step 2

Go to the Alberta Advantage Immigration Program portal and click the “Get Started” button to log in with your Alberta.ca Account.

Once you are signed in, then select "Create an Expression of Interest" to continue.

Step 3

You will be guided to complete and submit your EOI.

Step 4

After you submit your EOI, you will see a page that confirms that your EOI is submitted.

It will have more information on next steps. You will be provided an EOI # for your reference.
